Graphic organiser.

This film was shown to me about mind mapping and how it can help children and adults who are diagnosed with SpLD's to present learning in a visual context.

It is a bit long winded but there are some good points made.
Using graphic organisers to support Dyslexic children and students.

My review of Microsoft Office!

My usage of Microsoft office is like most applications on a computer...limited!
I have used Power Point quite a lot with work and feel confident with this.
I have used excel and word to a very basic level accomplishing tasks more by luck than judgement!
If there are any other applications...then I probably haven't used them!!

Two styles of Teaching!

I was thinking of what to add to this site and I thought of a TV program that showed two styles of teaching and motivation; the carrot or the stick...TO THE EXTREME.  The mini series was a rollercoaster ride of emotions for the participants and viewers; one day, if your interested I'll tell you which team won!

I hope it might be of use in some way?

My favourite blog!

Having never used or seen a blog before...I didn't know where to look for one...and I still don't!  I have typed in "Blog" and other variations.  A lot of "How to" and "sign up" websites appear, before I settle on the "Telegraph Blog"; a reputable name.  To me it looks like someone is giving their opinions on current affairs; which is what you would expect from a journalist website.  The page is nicely set out with lots of links to a variety of articles, and only one advert! All in all it looks like a normal webpage but called a blog.  Maybe I might find something better over the weekend!

My first mind map on motivation!

This is my first ever attempt at a mind map.  Not sure if I've done a good job, but I can see the advantages of doing one in the future.

ICT and how it's effecting me!!

So far my experiences are like a rollercoaster!  I am actually using the computer in a way that I have never used it, encompassing new technology and experiencing technical difficulties is quite frustrating.
After finally finding out how to work two websites “easywhois” and “Site:” (not spelt “sitecolon”!); I can see how they can give credibility and accuracy to a student or teachers work.  Each site shows the background of a specific website allowing the author to pick the correct evidence.
I can see the benefits of setting up a “Blog” website, as it allows information to be shared.  However, looking as a pessimist and not being one for idle chat on websites; I can also see how it can also be miss-used for social chit-chat.
